“A Nashville icon will soon have a downtown presence, as Goo Goo Cluster LLC will open this fall a retail space at 116 Third Ave. S. in SoBro.
According to a Metro Codes Adminstration document, Standard has secured a permit, valued at $40,000, for the rehabbing of 1,250 square feet of space currently home to law firm The Higgins Firm. Relatedly, the firm is moving, expected by month’s end, to a nearby Fourth Avenue South building that once housed a Napa Auto Parts store.
The vintage brick building from which the Goo Goo retail shop will operate is located less than a block south of Broadway.
“Since Goo Goo Cluster’s centennial in 2012, we’ve been looking for a way to return to Downtown Nashville where it all started back in 1912,” Lance Paine, executive vice president of Goo Goo Cluster LLC said in a release. “The Goo Goo Shop will allow visitors to see Premium Goo Goo Clusters being made, learn about the history of the brand and shop for Goo Goo Cluster memorabilia and merchandise.”
The Carter Group will serve as general contractor for the project.”
