Carter, Principal
Lee began
his career in the construction industry 30
years ago. He has experience with every aspect of day-to-day
operations, as well as executive management. Carter
Group was founded in 2004, and since its inception,
Lee’s role is to oversee the global development
of the organization. This affords him the opportunity
to share valuable expertise with younger professionals
within the company. His extensive industry knowledge,
commit to quality, and focus on long-term relationships
have earned him the utmost respect of his associates,
as well as other industry leaders.
Lee
Carter is also involved in many professional and civic
organizations and is a well-respected community leader.
He holds a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the
University of Tennessee.

McGriff Irby, Managing Partner
With over
25 years experience in the construction industry, Griff
has extensive experience providing project management
services for companies requiring design-build and construction
management services.
Griff’s
25 years includes both new and renovation projects for
heavy industrial plants, hospitals, medical office buildings,
country clubs, restaurants, and correctional facilities.
He has served as superintendent, project engineer, and
senior project manager with bottom line accountability
for the construction of all types of commercial and
industrial projects with budgets of up to $25 million.
He has assisted clients in establishing program requirements
and design parameters to meet their building needs and
has coordinated multi-discipline teams to accomplish
these major projects.
He is
the qualifying licensing agent in the states of Tennessee,
Florida, Utah, Alabama, Georgia, West Virginia, and
North Carolina, and holds a Building Science degree
from Auburn University.
Chris
Parker, Partner
Chris has been successfully
completing projects on time and within the owner’s
budget for nearly 10 years. He began his career as a
project coordinator and estimator producing quality
take-offs and developing subcontractor resources. As
a principal of Carter Group, Chris oversees the financial
operations of the organization, as well as manages both
new-building construction and renovation projects of
all types of commercial and industrial projects. He
is an expert at ensuring profitable and timely project
completions consistent with quality and safety standards.
He is the qualifying
licensing agent in the state of Virginia and holds a
B.S. in Business Administration from the University
of Tennessee.
